About

EWOF Limited was started after years of working with small and medium sized businesses to help them improve their environmental performance. These businesses were committed and enthusiastic but struggled to find something that could give them the recognition they needed. They found that many certification schemes were designed for large corporate businesses and involved resources beyond their means.

Jeska McNicol and Paul Barrett decided that they could be the solution and EWOF Limited was born.

As a company EWOF Limited is committed to:

• Providing practical and achievable tools for small, single site organisations.
• Removing barriers of entry for businesses considering environmental management
• Encouraging organisations to improve their environmental practices.
• Encouraging large organisations to ensure their own supply chain meets the EWOF standards.
• Encouraging organisations that are in their third year of EWOF participation to consider independent third-party certification programmes that will further increase their environmental credentials.
• Ensuring that the EWOF standard logo(s) are not misused.
• Maintaining the credibility of the programme by following the relevant international standards.
• Consulting key stakeholders in the annual review of the standards.
• Considering the environment in all EWOF business decisions.
• Recording and monitoring scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions that EWOF Limited can control.
• Complying with all relevant legislation.
• Creating jobs and a career path for those interested in environmental management and sustainability.
